Implementation - Step 10 - Inductions

Inductions are a great way of introducing the rules and expectations of the business. An Induction can then be assigned to staff or visitors to complete. They can be built from scratch or using a template.

Note: Your Access Level may restrict the use of some features.

The 10 Step Implementation Guide needs to be done on Desktop. 

  1. Navigate to Documents > Inductions in the left menu.
  2. Inductions can be created from a Safe Ag Systems template, or by creating your own.
    1. To use a template: Navigate to the Copy from Template tab. Besides the template, click the grey box and click Copy Template.  
    2. To create your own: Click Build New, and add a title, and click Next. For more information, see Creating a New Induction.
  3. Navigate to the Create or Edit tab. Click Edit beside the Induction you want to work on.
    1. Link Policies, images or websites to an Induction statement using the icons on the right-hand side of each statement. See Formatting Options for more information. 
    2. Add new statements by selecting + Add new statement at the end of the Induction.
    3. Statements can be moved or deleted by clicking the icons on the left hand side of each statement. 
  4. Once finished, click Save. 
The following articles provide step by step instructions on how to build and run an Induction.

Tips

  • Inductions enable you to formally explain the farm rules to your staff, contractors or visitors and to gain their agreement/acceptance.
  • Start with a General Work Health and Safety Induction for employees and a General Contractor Induction for Contractors and then add additional inductions if required for your operation.
  • If you are using templates, edit the statements to suit your business.
