Audits Explained

Audits is a useful add-on module designed to help businesses meet accreditation standards. It enables businesses to carry out self-assessments to check and improve their compliance before submitting their audit for certification.

The AgAuditor module provides the user with the ability to create, run and review audit forms helping the business to reach set goals. Audits can be carried out as often as deemed appropriate or as outlined by specific accreditation programs.

Benefits of Using Audits

The AgAuditor module in the Safe Ag Systems software has the ability to link specific evidence to audit criteria. This means when you run the audit, the software will automatically pull the required evidence from Safe Ag Systems data and link it to the criteria. This has the benefit of saving business owners an enormous amount of time in sourcing evidence.

Linked evidence can include checklists, policies, procedures, uploaded files and inductions.

Accreditation Programs

There are multiple compliance programs that businesses can seek to gain accreditation in. The Safe Ag Systems Audit module enables businesses to quickly and easily build an audit to meet their needs and the specifics of the accreditation program. Accreditation programs may include WHS, quality, food safety, animal welfare or programs specific to markets such as Freshcare, Red Tractor (UK), Woolworths and Coles.

In addition, specific audit templates pre-built for specific accreditation schemes can be purchased. Currently these include Freshcare and Red Tractor (UK).

Accessing Audits

From the left menu, select Documents and Files > AgAuditor.

Before creating an Audit it is useful to have a layout already planned or to follow an existing template so that once the building begins it doesn't become overwhelming.

If you know an Audit requires specific evidence documents you can pre-build them in, Checklists, Inductions, Policies, Procedures or upload relevant documents to Uploaded Documents.

Checklists, Inductions, Policies, and Procedures can also be created as the Audit is being built if deemed necessary.
