1. What’s your most-used productivity hack?

My  favourite productivity hack is to make a realistic to-do list at the very start of my day so I am able to tick off all the areas that I achieve throughout the day. I feel this is a great way to feel a sense of achievement especially when you’ve complete your whole list by the end of the day.

2. Do you have any hidden talents?

Oh this is a hard one. I wouldn’t say I had a hidden talent as such but since leaving University I have regularly milked 1,000 cows for a local farmer, whilst trying to grow the Health and Safety business, and have become pretty good at getting those clusters on pretty quickly believe it or not!

3. What’s the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part is when my farms are all set up and you start to see slight culture changes within the work force as the app is used more and more, I definitely get a feeling of achievement at this point.

4. What motivates you at work?

The main motivation that drives me to do what I do is seeing the industries statistics in the UK which clearly shows that something needs to change in order to make it a safer place for everyone associated with farms. I understand that it will be a slow, challenging process but to make a slight difference I will feel a sense of accomplishment.

5. What’s something you find challenging about your work

The most challenging area within my job role is working alongside multinational employees who have very little knowledge of the English language. Although having this challenge doesn’t impact the ability to deliver them the app as normal. Luckily for technology we are able to adapt to ensure they understand all aspects of what I am delivering to them.

6. When it comes to health and safety, what do you believe is a priority?

Health and safety is paramount within businesses especially on farms due to the high risk associated with it. I believe that the only way the statistics will change is to change the culture within the work force. This involves providing training to increasing the understanding of why, how and when we do things in order to decrease the risk and ultimately make is a safer place for all. Although it has to work both ways therefore both the employers need to have the ability to want to make the changes and implement them and the employees need to be willing to take the changes on board.
