A Brief History
After a near miss on a family farm in Arthurton, South Australia, Caroline Graham and her daughter, Katy Landt, created Safe Ag Systems. After many discussions, spreadsheets, and a lot of planning, they decided to pursue the software idea.

Safe Ag Systems Timeline

Meet our Co-founders
Katy Landt
Championing the project, co-founder and CEO, Katy Landt is from a five-generation farming family on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Katy who left the family grain farm at 17 years old, combined her time as Design Director for one of Adelaide’s leading communication design companies with her understanding of product design, business operations, strategic UI/UX and industry knowledge to produce the digital solution.
With 15 years’ experience in strategic content marketing, Katy has worked with a range of high-profile clients including UniSA, Monash University, Swinburne University, Nike Asia Pacific, and SA Power Networks.

Caroline Graham
Many within the South Australian community and agricultural industry know Caroline Graham as a key supporter and driver of safety education. With over 40 years in the agribusiness and horticulture sectors and 20 years in vocational education, Caroline is a supporter of the upskilling and training of rural communities. Her skill is to understand the complex terminology created by academics and translate it into simple actions on farm.
Spending her whole life on farm gives Caroline the understanding of and mutual respect with agribusiness that has resulted in her business, Regional Skills Training, being registered in 2002 and over the last 14 years becoming a leading private provider of agribusiness training in Australia.
Growing our community
One of the key drivers Katy identified with the acceptance of a safe system of work in agriculture was simplicity. “Our farmers need to carry out their required WHS obligations without impacting productivity and causing frustration. We need to be innovative and design a User Interface that takes them on a pathway, gathering data and prompting response.”
Over time, Safe Ag Systems has broadened its mission from its roots in Australia and New Zealand to now include support for clients in the United Kingdom, USA, and Canada.
Safe Ag Systems has evolved over the years by closely collaborating as a tight-knit team, taking into account client feedback and the shifting demands of the industry. We are proud to have our own in-house development team, which allows us to create solutions that not only meet our clients' current needs but also adapt as their businesses grow.

Meet our People
The Safe Ag Systems team offer a diverse range of skills and backgrounds. Whilst head office is now based in Adelaide, South Australia, there are team members who work remotely throughout regional and remote Australia. With a team that collaborates digitally, Katy and Caroline understood that to assist clients from regional and rural locations, the best resource was to surround themselves with a team that understood the agricultural industry both here in Australia and overseas.
Having grown the team, Katy and Caroline decided to take their safety management software global. Assisting Australian, New Zealand, UK, North American and Canadian farmers tackle legislative obligations and workplace health and safety requirements.
Trusted by farming businesses globally.
The mission at Safe Ag Systems has always been to remove the paperwork associated with compliance for agribusinesses without having to compromise on productivity and quality assurance. This top of mind awareness for health and safety should not be limited by country borders, but with the aim to take this mission global.
As Katy has previously stated
“We have seen a positive change in the perception and importance of workplace health and safety over the past few years in Australia. Having witnessed this cultural shift, as well as the uptake and impact of Safe Ag Systems for our clients, we have an obligation to go global.”
