Safe Ag Systems Achieves ISO 27001:2022 Certification Again!

Safe Ag Systems has successfully achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification once again in May 2026. It reaffirms our commitment to protecting our clients' information through internationally recognised information security standards.

For our clients, this means you can have confidence that your data is managed using proven security practices that are independently audited and continuously improved.

Whether you're storing farm records, managing safety documentation or using our platform every day, protecting your information remains one of our highest priorities.

At a glance

  • Safe Ag Systems has successfully renewed its ISO 27001:2022 certification.

  • ISO 27001 is the world's leading standard for information security management.

  • Certification requires regular independent audits and continual improvement.

  • Our systems are designed to keep client information secure, accurate and available when it's needed.

  • This certification reflects our long-term commitment to protecting our clients and their data.

What is ISO 27001:2022?

ISO 27001:2022 is the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It provides organisations with a framework for identifying risks, protecting sensitive information and continually improving their security practices.

An effective ISMS focuses on three key principles:

  • Confidentiality - ensuring information can only be accessed by authorised people

  • Integrity - keeping information accurate and complete

  • Availability - making sure information is accessible when it's needed

As of December 2026, the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) had published more than 26,116 international standards covering industries including agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing and technology.

A long-term commitment to protecting our clients

Achieving ISO 27001 certification has been a long-term goal for Safe Ag Systems CEO Katy Landt since the company was founded in 2016.

"We were told by many that it was too hard and too expensive, but we knew how important this project was for the future of our company and, more importantly, for our clients. Protecting our clients' data isn't something they should have to think about every day, that's our responsibility."
- Katy Landt, CEO and Co-Founder

Safe Ag Systems first achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification in June 2023. Since then, we've continued strengthening our systems to transition to the latest ISO 27001:2022 standard successfully.

How did we achieve ISO 27001:2022 recertification?

Maintaining ISO certification requires ongoing effort, not simply passing an audit every few years.

As part of our recertification program, Safe Ag Systems:

  • Conducted comprehensive information security risk assessments and gap analyses.

  • Reviewed, developed and maintained more than 150 information security policies, procedures, standards and supporting documents.

  • Implemented and continuously improved technical, physical and organisational security controls across the business.

  • Performed annual internal audits and management reviews to assess the effectiveness of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).

  • Delivered ongoing cyber security awareness training, phishing simulations and one-on-one coaching for employees.

  • Conducted vulnerability assessments and implemented remediation activities to reduce cybersecurity risk.

  • Tested business continuity, incident response and emergency preparedness processes to validate organisational resilience.

  • Reviewed supplier security, third-party risks and access controls to ensure they remained appropriate and effective.

  • Successfully completed an independent ISO/IEC 27001:2022 recertification audit conducted by ECAAS.

These security controls cover areas including access management, risk management, incident response, staff awareness, system monitoring and continual improvement.

Together, they help us manage risks associated with handling client information while meeting internationally recognised best practices.

ISO/IEC 27001 certification demonstrates Safe Ag Systems’ ongoing commitment to protecting customer information, managing cyber security risks and continually improving our security practices through an independently audited Information Security Management System.

certification process

Forefront Certification, Certification Process.

Why ISO certification is an ongoing commitment to us?

Technology changes quickly, and so do cyber threats.

That's why ISO certification isn't something you achieve once and forget about.

ISO 27001 requires organisations to regularly review risks, improve processes and continually strengthen their information security management systems.

For Safe Ag Systems, continual improvement means regularly reviewing how we protect client information, testing our systems and updating our processes as new risks emerge.

All sensitive client data is encrypted, securely stored and managed using documented procedures designed to keep information safe, accurate and available whenever it's needed.

How does ISO improve our security processes?

ISO 27001 influences how we approach every stage of software development and project delivery.

Before every project begins, we follow a structured risk management process to help deliver the best possible outcome for our clients.

Our process includes:

  • Identifying potential risks
  • Analysing the likelihood and impact
  • Evaluating the best course of action
  • Treating risks by reducing or eliminating them where possible
  • Monitoring and reviewing outcomes to support continual improvement

This approach helps ensure security is considered from the beginning, not added as an afterthought.

What does ISO 27001 mean for our clients?

For our clients, ISO certification provides confidence that information security is embedded throughout our business.

It means we're committed to:

  • Protecting your information from evolving security threats

  • Following internationally recognised information security practices

  • Continuously improving our systems and processes

  • Making informed decisions based on recognised risk management principles

  • Maintaining reliable and secure services you can trust

As Drew, our Chief Operations Officer and in charge of IT Systems and Cybersecurity team, explains:

"ISO certification isn't simply a badge we've earned, it's an ongoing commitment to protecting our clients' information every single day. It demonstrates that we're continually reviewing, improving and strengthening our systems to help prevent cyber threats and data breaches."

Looking ahead

Achieving ISO 27001:2022 certification is an important milestone, but it's far from the finish line.

We'll continue investing in our people, processes, and technology to ensure our clients' information remains protected as cybersecurity challenges evolve.

Information security isn't just about compliance; it's about earning and maintaining the trust our clients place in us every day.
